Free Toxic Backlink Checker (Spam-Score Estimator)
Estimate the spam risk of your backlinks in seconds. Paste referring domains or backlink URLs and get a heuristic spam score (0–100) for each, based on signals like spam-prone TLDs, keyword-stuffed domains, IP hosts, and excessive hyphens — so you can decide what to disavow. Free, no sign-up, runs in your browser.
What this tool does
Not every backlink helps you — links from spammy, low-quality sites can drag down your profile. This tool scores each domain you paste for spam-risk signals and sorts the riskiest to the top, giving you a fast shortlist of candidates to investigate or disavow. It turns a long, unreadable backlink list into a prioritised risk report.
How to use it
It is instant:
- Paste your referring domains or backlink URLs, one per line.
- Click Analyze to score each domain.
- Review the high-risk domains and their signals.
- Copy the high-risk list straight into a disavow file.
What signals it checks
The score combines several well-known spam indicators: spam-prone TLDs (like .xyz, .tk, .ml, .info), an IP address used as the host, keyword-stuffed or heavily hyphenated domain names, long digit runs, obvious spam keywords (casino, viagra, cheap backlinks, and similar), link-scheme wording, and unusually deep subdomains. Each signal adds to a 0–100 score, and domains are grouped into low, medium, and high risk.
It's a heuristic, not a verdict
This estimator looks only at the domain string, not at live link data, so treat the score as a triage aid rather than a final judgement. A legitimate site can occasionally use a cheap TLD, and a spam network can hide behind a clean-looking name. Always review high-risk domains yourself before disavowing — the tool's job is to surface the ones worth a closer look.
From risk score to action
Once you've confirmed a domain is genuinely harmful and you can't get the link removed at the source, add it to your disavow file. Copy the high-risk list here and paste it into our Disavow File Generator to produce a Google-ready disavow.txt. Keep your disavow list conservative — only include links you're confident are toxic.
Privacy
All scoring happens locally in your browser from the text you paste — your backlink list is never uploaded, logged, or stored. That keeps your audit private, which matters because your toxic-link list reveals which sites you consider harmful.
