Why a browser extension and not a website button?

X (Twitter) only lets you delete your own posts from inside a logged-in x.com session. A normal website can't touch that session for security reasons, and X's official API now charges for bulk write access — that's why most "tweet deleters" ask you to pay. Our free extension sidesteps all of that: it runs inside x.com using the login you already have, so deletion is instant, private, and completely free.

How it works — 4 steps

1
Install the free extension
Add it to Chrome, Edge or Brave. Takes about a minute.
2
Open your X profile
Go to x.com, log in, and open your own profile (or the Replies tab).
3
Preview with Dry Run
A panel appears bottom-right. Leave "Dry run" ticked and press Start to safely count what will be removed.
4
Delete for real
Untick Dry run, press Start, confirm — and watch your tweets disappear. It only ever targets your own posts.

Is it safe? Daily limit & auto-cooldown

To protect your account, Bulk Delete Tweets works at a gentle, human-like pace and includes two built-in safety guards so you don't trip X's automated limits:

📅
1,000 tweets per day

For your account's safety, the tool deletes up to 1,000 tweets per day. When you reach the limit it pauses automatically — just come back the next day and it resets, so you can delete another 1,000, and so on until your timeline is clean.

Automatic cooldown

If X temporarily rate-limits you, the tool shows a countdown and pauses for 5 minutes, then resumes on its own (15 minutes if it happens again right away). You don't have to do anything — just keep the tab open.

Note: automating actions on X is subject to X's Terms of Service. These limits exist to keep deletion gentle and reduce the chance of a temporary account lock. Deletion is permanent.

How to Bulk Delete Tweets Free — Bulk Delete Tweets

Everything you need to know about deleting all your tweets and X posts in bulk, for free, with the Bulk Delete Tweets extension.

What this tool does

Bulk Delete Tweets is a free browser extension that mass-deletes your tweets, replies, and X (Twitter) posts directly from your own logged-in session. There's no password to hand over, no server in the middle, and no API fees — everything runs locally in your browser, so your account data never leaves your device. It's built for anyone cleaning up an old timeline, protecting their privacy, or starting fresh on X.

Why it's free when others charge

Most tweet-deleting websites rely on X's official API, which now charges for bulk write access — so they pass that cost on to you with monthly plans and limits. Our extension takes a different route: it works inside x.com using the login you already have, so it doesn't need the paid API at all. That's how we keep it 100% free with no cap tricks.

  • No subscription: delete as many tweets as you need without paying.
  • No password sharing: it uses your existing X session, never your credentials.
  • Private by design: nothing is uploaded to any server — it all runs in your browser.
  • Only your posts: it detects your @handle and skips everyone else's tweets.

Common use cases

Here are practical reasons people bulk delete their tweets:

  • Cleaning up years of old tweets before a job search or public profile check.
  • Protecting privacy by removing posts you no longer want visible.
  • Starting a fresh brand or personal account without losing the handle.
  • Removing replies and low-value posts to tidy up your timeline.

Pro tip

Always run a Dry Run first. Leave the "Dry run" box ticked and press Start — the tool scrolls and counts exactly what would be removed without deleting anything. When the number looks right, untick Dry run and press Start again. Keep the tab open while it works; it auto-pauses if X rate-limits you and resumes on its own.

FAQ

Is Bulk Delete Tweets really free?
Yes — it's 100% free with no subscriptions, no per-tweet fees, and no hidden limits. It runs on your own browser session, so there are no API costs to pass on to you.
Do I have to give you my Twitter/X password?
No. The extension never asks for your password. It uses the session you're already logged in with on x.com, so your credentials stay private.
Is my data safe? Does anything get uploaded?
Nothing is uploaded. All processing happens locally in your browser. The extension only sends delete requests to X on your behalf — the same thing that happens when you click delete manually.
Why can't this run as a button on the website instead of an extension?
For security, X only allows deletion from inside a logged-in x.com session, which a normal website cannot access. The official X API can do it but now charges for bulk write access. A browser extension is the only way to offer this instantly and for free.
Will it delete other people's tweets by mistake?
No. The extension reads your own @handle and only targets posts authored by you. Quote tweets, replies from others, and suggested posts on the page are automatically skipped.
How many tweets can I delete?
As many as you have. For very large accounts it deletes in the thousands; it paces itself and auto-pauses when X rate-limits you, then continues. A daily safety limit protects your account from being flagged.
Can I delete only my replies, or tweets from a certain time?
You can target your replies by opening the Replies tab on your profile before starting. Deletion runs newest-to-oldest as you scroll, so you control how far back it goes by when you stop.
Is deleting tweets permanent?
Yes. Deleted tweets cannot be recovered, which is why the tool defaults to a safe Dry Run preview and asks you to confirm before any real deletion.
Which browsers does it work on?
Any Chromium-based browser: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Brave. Install it once and use it whenever you need to clean up your timeline.
Is this affiliated with X (Twitter)?
No. It's an independent, free tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by X Corp. Automating actions on X is subject to their Terms of Service, so use it responsibly on your own account.
