Now we know how meta tags work we can start working on our keywords. Im using the following keywords for this website:

learn seo, seo help, seo blog, seo tips, seo tricks, seo tutorials

The reason I picked these keywords are because this blog is all about the learning of seo. I want people to find what they are looking for. These keywords are competitive so there not easy to rank with but seo can’t be done overnight these things take time. In the long run you wil find out if the keywords are right for your site if not you can always try different ones.

Now how am I going to rank with these keywords. First we need to fill the site up with content related to the keywords you picked our ofcourse the other way arround. If you already have a site with alot of content you can pick your keywords related to that.

I noticed google picks up Internal Linking ( links that stay on your site) alot faster so im going to use these alot for this blog. Let me explain this a little bit more. I just posted my keywords as example and if I wanted google to pick them up faster I would of made each seperated keyword a Internal Link to another page related to that keyword on this site. (I am going to do that but the site needs content first) that would mean more pages on google and good related content of the keywords your trying to rank with.

The best way to pick keywords is related to the content of your website and how much traffic they bring. There are several tools for that but I really recommend to use:

Now you know a little more about keywords and you can start doing resource on which keywords to use for your own site. The next post wil be all about ranking on keywords.
